Many founders choose a GmbH or an UG as their type of enterprise when founding a business and then function as CEO themselves. In most cases, the reason for this is the desire to avoid personal liability. However, especially from their position as CEO of a GmbH or an UG, liability risks in various other fields emerge. Such fields are for instance the fields of criminal law and the law of taxation.

Jochen Lorsbach, lawyer at the council of Morsbach & Sommer, will hold a presentation addressing this precious subject. The lecture will not only focus on the presentation of potential risks, but also show possible solutions and organizational measures to limit the personal liability of CEO's. Further, Mr. Morsbach will talk about insurance opportunities of general liabilities.

The event will take place on November 18th, 5.30 pm at the MAFINEX Technology Center in Mannheim. Please feel free to join this interesting event, which will also leave room for questions and discussion after the presentation.

On last Tuesday (November 5), the Entrepreneurship Club hosted an Entrepreneurship Party (First Tuesday Party). The event took place at the famous Café Prag and was visited by more than 80 entrepreneurs, students, investots, scientists and various other multiplicators.
The Entrepreneurship Club was opened with a small key-note by Jessica Di Bella (Head of MCEI) & Dennis Steininger (MCEI). After that, Dr. Christian Thum and Dr. Stefan Seedorf, the founders of Synchronite, held an inspiring lecture about their Startup and its current challenges. They also shared their entrepreneurial insight about basic business mistakes that other entrepreneurs should not (or better must not) repeat.
The Networking Activities were supported by a speed-dating part that helped many guests to identify new contacts and opportunities.

"From a participant's view, the Entpreneurship-Club was real fun and a great opportunity to meet interesting people and to connect. To me, it has made the startup scene of Mannheim way more connected and visible.
It has been a great chance to make new contacts and to expand my network! One of the contacts will willing to coach a young startup that I connected with him.
Many thanks to the guest speakers and the organizers!"
