EU Prize for Women Innovators 2014

EU Prize for Women Innovators 2014

Even though women are more and more active in research, there are still too few women creating innovative enterprises. Europe, however, needs all its human resources to stay competitive and find solutions to the great challenges it is currently facing.

The EU Women Innovators Prize was launched in 2011 in order to inspire and encourage women to follow their business ideas. The prize gives public recognition to outstanding women entrepreneurs who were able to launch and imbed their innovative ideas in the market.

Requirements to apply for the prize:

  1. Resident of a EU Member State or in a country associated to the Research Framework Programme
  2. Founder or Co-Founder of an existing and active company
  3. Company was registered before January 1, 2011
  4. Annual turnover must have been minimum € 100.000 in 2011 or 2012
  5. The founder or the company itself has received or is receiving funding from the EU, the European Atomic Energy Community Research Framework Programme, or from the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programm (CIP)
