The prize is intended to reward small and medium-sized industrial and craft enterprises for exemplary achievements in the development or application of new products and technical processes of modern technologies.
Applications can be submitted until 31 May 2018. Companies with up to 500 employees, a maximum annual turnover of up to 100 million euros and a seat in Baden-Württemberg can participate in the competition. The submitted applications are evaluated by a jury of experts from industry and science for technical progress, special entrepreneurial achievement and lasting economic success. The prizes will be awarded in autumn 2018.
In addition, the MBG Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft has pledged a special prize of 7,500 euros, which is to be awarded to a young company.
