Makezme.com combines sex education with ethical pornography and opens up a new world of adult entertainment while addressing the needs of women and couples to enhance their sex life.
The brand was created in September 2018 by five students pursuing their Master's at the University of Mannheim as part of a project for MAN 631 Creativity and Entrepreneurship course. Due to their common business background paired with their IT know-how and the different practical experiences, each member of the team was able to complement the strengths of the other. As part of the course, they developed a first pitch presentation, which was presented to a jury of experts. MakeZme.com was able to win the first prize and was awarded seed money in the form of a EUR 500 check sponsored by Startup Mannheim.
One of the biggest challenges they face now is the classic chicken-egg problem with regards to the platform business model dependent on content from producers.
In order to motivate producers to collaborate, a strong image and customer base is needed but in order to reach a high number of customers, diverse content is required. The team is set to continue to pursue the idea in 2019 and is ready to overcome challenges on the entrepreneurial journey.
