On Monday, February 3, Thomas Hipp and Dr. Jan Zybura of MCEI supported our partners at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in providing coaching to their latest student startups at the bachelor and master level. The partnership with the MCEI of the ifm at the University of Mannheim and the WHU Incubator has a history of more than 3 years of reciprocal visits, fruitful exchange and mutual support. Our partnership with the WHU Incubator also grants some of our startups the opportunity to participate in the prestigious WHU Investor Roadshow.
Thomas and Jan met the latest WHU startups from various industries that follow a 6-week-long intensive program from ideation to Demo Day. The next step for the teams is prototyping and reaching product market fit. It was a great and inspiring day with lots of exciting ideas and a great opportunity to connect with the WHU startup ecosystem, fellow startup supporters and alumni entrepreneurs. Let’s see who is going to advance their venture to the next Zalando or HelloFresh. Speaking of advancing ventures to the next level, also our MCEI accelerator programs at the University of Mannheim (Chair Prof. Dr. Michael Woywode) will relaunch with the respective Kickoffs of MAN 453 – Thinking Beyond Boxes (Saturday, February 15) and MAN 633 Entrepreneurial Spirit (Saturday, February 22). Our Demo Day will be held on May 19 2020 in a Startup Lounge Pitch Battle – save the date! For MCEI Success Stories click here https://www.mcei.de/success-stories
