agileThings helps retailers and restaurateurs at airports and train stations to sell more and increase their efficiency by providing their customers with a quicker more convenient experience.
More specifically, they offer an app, which consumers (on the rush) can use to order, pay and get things delivered inside the building. This solves several problems for them: no more waiting in lines, no more waiting for the preparation of food, no more being overwhelmed by too many options, instead: personalized recommendations, easy customization and no more social pressure moments at the counter while choosing food. On the other side, they help retailers and restaurateurs to increase sales and efficiency, cutting the order processing time by more than 50%, because no employee is needed to take the order and handle payments. Additionally, waste and energy consumption is reduced. In total, it is estimated that using our product saves around 40,000$ per year per location.
Building operators can get powerful analytics from the data that we have collected to improve their building and store layout. Recently they have completed the e.on :agile accelerator in Düsseldorf, and their first pilot project is already running.
Their next step is to integrate Bluetooth Beacons to facilitate indoor navigation as well as Bitcoins to decrease payment fees for retailers. Beyond that their vision is to become the Amazon of buildings and integrate other items beyond food, possibly also integrating robot delivery inside of buildings. That means that as a consumer you have the full potential of the building right at your fingertips - with an even higher convenience factor than ordering online.
In addition to their own product, they offer “CTO as a Service” for corporates and medium sized companies that want to get their innovative products out there and need support by experienced entrepreneurs. As such, they don’t only offer software development, but also support at the most critical part of most innovations: customer development.
