All five founders are students at the University of Mannheim. The idea for "Tür für Tür" was developed by Florian, Julia and Christina during an entrepreneurship course at the University of Mannheim. The team pitched and participated at several Startup Lounges and received support from MCEI staff.
Startup Characteristics
The mission of Tür für Tür is to promote the value of high-quality and sustainably sourced food, especially among students. To this end, we developed the Tür für Tür-Advent calendar. Behind each door of the Advent calendar, students find a coupon for a food place (restaurants, cafés, farmers’ markets, etc.) in their city. These food places are selected based on 5 sustainability criteria. Through the calendar students can thus discover new places in their city, enjoy high-quality and sustainably sourced food, and, at the same time save money.
