VCMNA assumes the automotive industry change will result in a proliferation of brands and vehicle models as well as new automakers entering the market and requiring independent manufacturing capacity as a service. Vehicle contract manufacturing (VCM) changes the automotive business by virtualizing the automaker’s value chain. Based on its European experience VCMNA strives to establish vehicle contract manufacturing in North America. The VCMNA team draws its unique expertise from the successful transplant to VCM conversion of the Mitsubishi plant in Europe and a European OEM as customer. The venture's operation is currently suspended.
