Innovations are the driving force behind the economic development of a society. The 'Stiftung Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar' is an inspirational institution for innovations in the Rhine-Neckar region. Since 2001 it awards the prize every year for outstanding research accomplishments, which are able to distinguish themselves from the competition.
The MRN Innovation prize focuses on promising research fields which tend to be the breeding ground for new innovations. It aims at enhancing the business environment for innovations and make companies focus on new technologies. Further, the MRN Innovation prize concentrates on technological and scientific developments and their transformation into marketable products. The prize will be presented by Dr. h. c. Manfred Lautenschläger, the president of the foundation's board and the winner will receive 25.000 Euros. The two runner-ups will receive 5.000 Euros.
MCEI is very excited to announce that contagt is one of the final three candidates and will therefore participate in the award ceremony.
