The funding program ”Young Innovators” supports young researchers from universities, non-academic research institutions and academies in developing and selling innovative products and business models. Fundable is the preparation for setting up a start-up that deals with innovative products, procedures or services, e.g. inventions, software or other technological know-how.

The program includes consulting and other support as well as a constant funding and income comparable with a permanent post-doc position. That is about to offer an alternative to a regular uni contract to enable researchers starting over with their ideas. As a long-term target the program tries to ease knowledge and technology transfer from academic and research institutions into business. Therefor it particularly aims at potential founders who were benefitting from other funding before that is about to end.

The next funding is open for application until 26 March. For more info follow the link.

On Thursday, February 17, 2022, the grand finale of the seventh round of ASAP BW will take place from 4 to 6 pm. Here, the best teams from all over Baden-Württemberg will pitch their ideas live via Veertly in front of a jury and audience.

The Academic Seed Accelerator Program (ASAP BW) is a state-wide competition for start-up ideas from all universities across Baden-Württemberg. In the last weeks and months, students, graduates and scientific employees were able to develop their ideas into a validated business model from home in 5 challenges.

The best teams can present their ideas virtually and live in front of the audience and jury at the seventh final on February 17, 2022 from 4 to 6 pm. They can win prizes in various categories, which include prize money of up to 1,000 euros. They can also directly win places and support in more advanced funding programs in Baden-
Württemberg, such as the state accelerators. These will also present themselves as part of the finale to offer the teams as well as the audience an insight into the start-up ecosystem in the state.

The goal of the competition is to find the best startup ideas and teams from the university environment across Baden-Württemberg each semester and help them transition into the state's more advanced funding programs. Until February 07, teams can still submit their application to ASAP BW and qualify for the final #7. You too can be there and experience the best teams from our universities live! Registration and further information at: www.asap-bw.com/finale
