On Friday, May 8th, PitchGuru and Ruth Cremer will be giving a workshop on how to create an investor-ready pitch deck. You will learn everything you need to know about the content and design of your pitch deck and get some real-world examples
We will meet digitally on Zoom on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 11am.
The workshop is free of charge for participants, but spots are limited. If you want to participate, you should at least be an early stage startup and have some pitch experience so you can improve. Your entire startup team is welcome!

How Baden-Württemberg could become the next hotspot for startups: SAP is Europes most valuable tech-corporation – inspiring the whole region. But what is next? Who could be the next billion-worth tec-unicorn? Right now startups and investors focus very much on Berlin, Munich and Cologne, widely ignoring that the Rhine-Neckar-region and Baden-Württemberg as a whole have a lot to offer: Here is home for many potent global players as well as worldwide-active SMEs. Also most of Germanies leading universities for engineering, economics and science are based in the region. Altogether these circumstances sum up as perfect conditions for entrepreneurship and innovation. And still the region remains being an “underdog” in terms of founding. How does that come? What need to be changed?

Q-Summit 2020 will not take place, due to the current spread of COVID-19. This decision has been made in close consultation with the Public Health Department of the City of Mannheim and the University of Mannheim.
The Q-Summit at the University of Mannheim is one of Germany’s most important conferences for entrepreneurship and innovation solely organised by students. With more than 1000 participants, Q is also the biggest conference at the University of Mannheim and was meant to take place for the fourth time in spring 2020.
We as MCEI are endlessly sorry for the Qsummit-team as they committed so much effort to this outstanding event. Moreover, we are also sad not being able to be part of the event itself as a consequence of the cancelling. It was the team’s aim to bring together students, founders, startups, corporates, investors and researchers to foster the startup spirit in the Rhine-Neckar-Region and far beyond borders. The 2,5 days of conference are usually filled up with inspiring speeches, interactive workshops, passionate panel discussions, a lot of networking at the „Inno-Village“ in the Schneckenhof, a Startup-Speeddating, dynamic Pitch-Battles and enjoyable evening events as well as an unforgettable party.
This is exactly what MCEI stands for and for what we love to inspire students and founders. That is why we would love to take the chance to congratulate the whole team of Qsummit for the unbelievable work they have been doing the last months and express our deepest gratitude and respect. As with ventures you cannot always be in full control of what is happening around you and anticipate every imaginable situation. Major circumstances and also just bad luck can ruin your whole project, no matter how hard you have tried. So thank you for having invested so much work, time and energy and don´t let your heads down! You have been amazing, have been doing an amazing job and we are very much looking forward to the next Qsummit!
