The Gründermotor-Initiative is offering a masterclass to boost start-ups in being more capable of attracting investments and/or BW-Pre-Seed-Funding.

The program is open to innovative start-ups with university or research background from Baden-Württemberg and financed by investors and the state of Baden-Württemberg. As a consequence, participation is free of charge.

Participants benefit from many elements in the program: Mentoring is given by top experts in their field. Participating start-ups get access to a huge and valuable network in science and business. Once a week there will be camps with a lot of individual input. There is help in generating clients and market access. And maybe most important – the program makes start-ups investment ready. Regularly there will be pitches in front of potential investors.

The German-American Chamber of Commerce offers webinars on how to enter the US market, aiming at German start-ups. These events are streamed from New York, Boston and the Silicon Valley and cover the following topics:

How much are you an entrepreneur? Find out now during the two-day-long online workshop “From PhD to Innovator”. The workshop aims at PhD-students and postdocs from all faculties and will be hold by experienced coaches. With their help you can turn your research into a valid business idea. The workshop will be free of charge and requires no previous knowledge.

As the event was initially meant to take place in Karlsruhe potential participants from the region will be prioritized. The event is held in close cooperation with BASF.

The online workshop will be held via Zoom from 9 am to 5 pm on both days in English.

The Hightech Summit BW 2020 is a come-together for hightech-companies located in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The event´s purpose is to share business and best-practice experience.

The Mannheim founder award MEXI is open for application until 08 October! Application is possible for all founders who started over in the recent last three years. Awarded categories are technology, services and social economy. While application is already closed for the first two categories, the latter is still open for application. The remaining category social economy is aiming at start-ups in the field of environment protection or social entrepreneurship.

Applications for the category social economy need to address how the project could help to improve society or environmental conditions. For a complete application a sustainable business model is necessary, so that the commitment of the venture is not depending on permanent public subsidies.

The award is granted with 10.000 Euro, funded by the municipality of Mannheim. Given this backgorund, an application is open to all ventures seated in Mannheim. Deadline is 08 October. More information on https://www.gruenderverbund.info
