You want to know what to consider when you start a new business? Hamid Rezei, head of the start-up consultancy at the Institute for Liberal Professions at the University of Nuremberg/Erlangen, and Philip Brückner, graduate of HSMA and founder of the design agency Brückner & Brückner, will not only enlighten you but also answer all your questions.

On the subject of "liberal professions" there is both theoretical input from Hamid as also practical input from Philip, who works as a designer together with his brother in Mannheim and Dortmund.

Hamid will tell you what the difference between "freelance" and "commercial" is, how important this is for you and what advantages the KSK, Künstlersozialkasse, has to offer. Last but not least, information on pension and for further security will be given - even if this is still a long way off.

Philip tells you about his way into full-time self-employment, why he doesn't do any acquisition or what he does instead. He talks about the biggest challenges and the best sides of freelance design life.

Of course you will have the chance to ask questions in the following Q&A session.
